Issue Position

I stand for a balanced approach to our state's budget that does not overly burden one segment of the population. It is not right to boast about budget surpluses while children continue to go hungry or are in abusive/neglectful situations, while our roads continue to crumble away, or while our homeless continue searching for a warm place on cold nights.

A balanced budget can be had, but it has to be done in a responsible and accountable way that looks at both responsible taxation and spending.
